Swedish analysts have estimated the production budget of Bloodlines 2 at $62.8 million

The development of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 cost 600 million Swedish kronor (62.8 million USD), according to estimates by analysts from the Swedish bank Swedbank. This does not include marketing expenses, which would increase the budget.
The actual budget has not been disclosed by the developers at The Chinese Room or the publisher Paradox Interactive. Therefore, it is unclear how close Swedbank’s estimates are to reality.
It is worth noting that Swedbank, through its subsidiary Swedbank Robur, is a shareholder of Paradox Interactive, owning 3.4% of the company. In theory, they might have some understanding of the situation regarding the cost of developing Bloodlines 2, but the bank emphasizes in its analysis that these are only estimates, not insider information.
According to data from VG Insights, the Steam version of Bloodlines 2 has earned 13 million USD to date. The service Gamalytic estimates its revenue more conservatively at no more than 8.4 million USD. Bloodlines 2 has also generated some revenue from Epic Games Store, GOG, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, but it is not yet certain that the game has recouped its expenses.
Reminder: Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 was released on October 21 after a prolonged development cycle. It received mixed reviews from gamers and critics alike, currently holding a “mixed” rating of 56% on Steam.
