Spider-Man: No Way Home Box Office Swings to $1.37 Billion, Sony’s Biggest Movie Ever. Spider-Man: No Way Home is based on the Marvel Comics co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures. It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and is the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The film is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now the 12th highest-grossing movie of all time, having taken its worldwide box office total to $1.37 billion following New Year’s weekend. The Marvel latest release becomes the only film that managed to gross $100 million in a single weekend during COVID-era. It now has also become Sony Pictures’ biggest movie ever, surpassing its direct predecessor Spider-Man: Far From Home at $1.131 billion. And it’s not sure whether the new Spider-Man movie has yet to be given a release date in China.
Elsewhere, the total stands at $759 million. The biggest territories for Spider-Man: No Way Home are the UK with $92.4 million, Mexico with $64.9 million, South Korea with $51.4 million, France with $50.2 million, Australia with $42 million, Brazil with $40.2 million, India with $34.2 million, Russia with $34 million, Germany with $29.5 million, and Indonesia with $22.9 million. Spider-Man: No Way Home will debuts in Japan on Friday, January 7.
