Salary transparency: InnoGames salaries remain stable at a high level
Just in time for Germany’s Equal Pay Day 2025, the Hamburg-based game developer has published the results of its salary analysis for the fourth quarter of 2024: InnoGames’ salaries are still in the top third of the German labour market, so no adjustments are necessary for the time being.
Germany’s largest game developer InnoGames puts its salary bands to the test at least once a year. Using externally acquired data, the company checks whether they still correspond to the desired positioning in the top third of the German labour market. If not, the bands are raised. If yes, they will remain unchanged.
The salary analysis carried out by the company’s People & Culture department in Q4 showed that the situation on the labour market does not require an increase for the time being.
Christiane Gäb, Director People & Culture, comments: ‘Even if we assume that the worst phase of consolidation in the games industry is now behind us, the ongoing layoffs have led to a relatively large number of skilled workers being available. After a long period in which unusually high salary increases were demanded in several areas, we are now back on an equal footing. Even if the sector were to experience a steep upturn from here, this would only have a delayed impact on recruitment. Accordingly, we expect that there will be no reason to raise our salary bands again until after our next analysis in the fourth quarter of 2025 at the earliest.’
InnoGames’ salary bands cover around 80% of the workforce and provide information on the minimum and maximum earning potential at the various career levels of a total of nine career models. The models covered include developer, game designer and marketer. Due to cost/benefit considerations, a salary band is only created when at least five employees share the same career model.

The current version of the salary bands can be found here:
