Robert Rodriguez ‘s Latest VR Movie “The Limit”

Film director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Marchett, From Dusk Till Dawn ) has now entered the area of 360 – degree film photography, collaborating with VR studio STXsurreal to produce and distribute The Limit.

“The Limit” starred by Michelle Rodriguez and Norman Reedus is a highly tense 20 minutes’ action film, with the audience playing a role in the film. The story follows you playing a rogue agent with a mysterious past, trying to find your identity with the help of super assassin M-13 (played by Michelle Rodriguez), and fight the fatal organization which created you.

The Co-CEO of VR & Immersive Entertainment of STXsurreal, Andy Vick and Rick Rey announced in a statement: “The launch of “The Limit” is a watershed in the field of VR, which attract entertainment enthusiasts to put on VR glasses again.” “In order to keep in line with STX’s talent-oriented model, we invited Robert, Michelle and Norman, who have millions of enthusiastic fans around the world. They have jointly developed new grounds, bringing this unconventional VR movie to life.”

The film will support Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR, Windows Mixed Reality, PlayStation VR and Google Daydream and is available today from their respective retail platforms. In limited time, you can enjoy a 50% discount, with the cost of film based on PC glasses reduced from US$9.99 to US$4.99, and the cost of mobile platform videos reduced from US$7.99 to US$3.99.

To celebrate this release, Robert Rodriguez will attend the fireside chat held on Oculus venues on Friday November 23, to discuss Oculus Go and the Samsung Gear VR’s support for “The Limit”.

STX surreal also plans a more immersive content, including the writer & director Kevin Smith’s “Jay and Silent Bob”, a horror thriller directed by Christian Gudegast, an action comedy directed by Dave Bautista, and an underwater sci-fi thriller directed by Johannes Roberts.
