QUEEN ELIZABETH II & DONALD TRUMP ZED TO PORTRAY TWO FIGURES OF POWER

ZED is handling international distribution on two event-documentaries: The history documentary God Save the Queen: Elizabeth II!, and the investigation Trump, the Art of the Deal and the FBI

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN: ELIZABETH II!

Scandals, break-up and Brexit: Queen Elizabeth has faced many challenges. Today, she is ready for the next round, to manage the successful passing of the Crown.

Thanks to archive footage and a few dramatized scenes, together with interviews of those who know the Royal Family best (Olivia Colman, Dickie Arbiter, Robert Lacey, Tony Blair…), this history documentary takes a look back at the key milestones ofthe Queen of the past 10 years.

Directed by history-specialized talented filmmaker Pierre Hurel, this 1×90’ & 1×52’ is produced by Elephant and Chrysalide Productions for France 5, and is slated for completion in November 2020.

“We’re extremely proud to bring this project on the international market, says Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj, Head of Distribution at ZED. With the roaring success of The Crown, Queen Elizabeth has become a figure of rare modernity – an icon. With this film, we want to pick up where the fiction ends, to recount the end of the Queen’s reign and her final struggles.“

TRUMP, THE ART OF THE DEAL AND THE FBI

Using privileged access to FBI officials, this film is set to explore the complex relationship between the United StatesIntelligence Community and its businessman-turned President, who plays a double game with the mafia and the bureau.

In the run-up to the next presidential election, this exclusive investigation proposes to lay out the inside story of Trump’spotentially compromised presidency, examined by key people who have crossed his path. Among others, Myron Fuller – the firstFBI agent who met Trump back in the 80’s – will embark with us on a journey across the United States to help us shed light onTrump’s secret ties to the FBI.

This investigation will be directed by Fabrizio Calvi (specialist in US intelligence and author of many books including The Mafiaand the FBI) and David Carr-Brown, who spent many years investigating on the FBI. Among their previous work, they directedtogether a 5-part series FBI Series for France Télévisions.

Produced by award-winning producer Pumpernickel Films (One Child Nation, 2019 Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize forDocumentary) and Allumage for France Télévisions, this 1×86’ & 1×52’ documentary will be delivered in July 2020.

“Despite being implicated in well-documented suspect deals, Trump was never charged, says Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj. Today, Fabrizio Calvi and David Carr-Brown’s special access promise to give way to a strong and bold investigation on Trump’s secret ties to the FBI.”

This two programmes are now available for presales.
