OpenAI

OpenAI i  s a non-profit AI research institute whose branch company could become one of the most profitable entities in the world. Before OpenAI’s latest version of its giant AI system, GPT-4, was released, the system had ingested billions of words of text – more than any one person is likely to read in a lifetime.

GPT is short for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”, three words that are important for understanding this AI giant akin to Polyphemus in Homer’s epic. “Transformer” is the name of the algorithm at the heart of this giant system. “Pre-training” means that the behemoth is educated with a large corpus of text so that it can understand the basic patterns and relationships of language – in short, teach it to understand the world. “Generative” means that the AI can build on this knowledge to create new ideas.

As we move rapidly toward an AI-filled future, tech giants, researchers and investors seem to be in a mad scramble to develop state-of-the-art AI technologies.

Open AI intended ChatGPT to be completely open source. That is, the company designed the language model of this program for public benefit, and anyone can recreate and iterate on it.

In just a few months since its launch last November, the number of users has exceeded 100 million. To a large extent, its emergence has overturned the current dimension of human perception of artificial intelligence programs and has caused a sensation across the world.

Currently, ChatGPT can already define the appropriate response pattern based on the speculation and observation of your text content.

GPT-4 was born multimodal. GPT-4 not only understands images, comprehends problems, but can even point out what makes the images interesting and funny, listing points out in quite an organized manner.

GPT-4 also gives the results of a series of tests done by AI systems.
