New Update and Founder’s Packs for Birdseed VR!

The early bird gets the worm (a.k.a. cool stuff for your camera)

Buffalo Buffalo is excited to announce the second major update for Birdseed VR, the Early Bird Update, is out now! Featuring the first look at the telephoto lens, a new inventory system, an equipment store, and more bug fixes and improvements. This is also the launch of the Early Bird Bundles, packs for our biggest fans to support the game and unlock exclusive items for launch!

The Early Bird Update for Birdseed VR was flying in with new equipment and the launch of the Early Bird Bundle on January 15th, 2026:

⭐ Our most dedicated fans can now support Birdseed’s development by becoming official Founders – or Early Birds 😉 – of the game, with special camera skins, multiplayer banners, and exclusive camera charms.

📷 The Early Bird Update also introduces the telephoto lens for the first time, which allows you to use earned bottlecaps to upgrade your lens and get even better shots.

🎒 You’ll also notice a brand new Backpack tab of your Journal, which will help you store your lenses and future equipment. You’ll be able to sort and filter this tab as you unlock more things to keep track of!

🎨 Want to go birding in style? We’re giving early access players a first look at how camera skins will work at full release! Grab the Free Early Bird Bundle for a limited time to unlock the Matcha Green skin, exclusive to Early Access Players. The Matcha Green will only be available in the Premium Store after 1.0 release, so don’t miss out! The Early Bird gets the worm, after all 🙂
