New Stronghold: Warlords Trailer Reveals Official Gameplay, Siege Units

Firefly Studios has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming game Stronghold: Warlords and it officially reveals the gameplay of the game. The trailer comes straight from the PAX West 2019 playable demo which shows how much the franchise has improved over time. The new trailer specifically focuses on the brand new system ‘Warlords’ in the game as it reveals some of the most powerful siege units in the game.

Stronghold: Warlords take a different approach towards victory as players will be required to target and recruit AL Warlords in each mission or map. Each Warlord on the map will come with its own unique bonuses and will help players to become stronger. These bonuses could range from extra resources to army buffs as well as siege attacks on the player’s enemies. These Warlords will eventually determine who emerges victorious at the end of the day.

Players will be required to protect their own stronghold as well at the same time from enemy players and their Warlord friends. The game features all-new gunpowder-based siege weapons, units and castle defenses which will come in handy as players try to defend their strongholds from enemy armies. Equipment such as rocket tower, gunpowder trap, fire lance, fire oxen and many more will be available at player’s disposal for defense.

One thing players must remember at all times that these Warlords are loyal to no one. Anyone can easily sway the Warlords to their own side as they build their Diplomacy points, form alliances and become stronger on the map. If your Warlords are strong enough, you can easily win the game without sending out a single unit of your own in the battle. Nick Tannahill, Marketing Director at Firefly Studios said:

Warlords has come a long way since our E3 reveal. We’ve been paying close attention to fan feedback and made a range of graphical improvements, in addition to adding new units and siege weapons. We’ve also upgraded the look and feel of the Warlords system.

Stronghold: Warlords is now present on Steam and can be added to your Wishlist. You can also check out more details about the game on the official website. It is slated for release on PC in 2020.
