A Hand-Painted Poster

The 3D animated film Monkey Magic to be screened on the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 22th, released a hand-painted poster today. In the poster, in the sunset glow, the Monkey King stood in the water with a golden cudgel in his hand,  his face tired, eyes resentful and confused. Monkey Magic has been confirmed to be a finalist in the “wide-angle lens” unit of the Busan Film Festival, which generated more curiosity and expectation from audiences for this film.

The Hand-Painted Poster Having a Superior Texture, The Second-Eye Painted Eggshell Being the Biggest Highlight

The hand-painted poster demonstrates the unwillingness and confusion of the Monkey King with exquisite brushwork and a bold application of colors. In addition to this, the depiction of the background details is particularly delicate, including the presentation of the layers of sunset glows, the glistening water surfaces and the rising smoke. Seen more closely, it is the majestic looking of the Monkey King. Combining images with connotations, depth with beauty, the poster can be called the “Second-eye” painted eggshell of the film.

Invited to Busan International Film Festival and Shortlisted in Wide-Angle Lens” Screening Unit

The animated film Monkey Magic is confirmed to be shortlisted in “Wide-Angle Lens” Unit of Busan International Film Festival. This unit mainly exhibits excellent Shorts, animations, documentaries and experimental films. As a representative of domestic animation, Monkey Magic is invited to be screened in the festival, which is a recognition of its high production level. Its qualification to go abroad and be screened with foreign excellent animated films demonstrates the rise of Chinese animation. We hope more excellent domestic works could show up in international film festivals.
