modl.ai to Speak at GDC on AI Bots for Building Game Architectures of the Future
modl.ai, which seeks to remove the shackles of game development with a transformative AI engine, announced that Ricardo Sisnett, Lead Engineer at modl.ai will be speaking at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2023 in San Francisco, CA
The AI Summit session, titled: “Bots at Work: Lessons on Deploying ML Bots in Your Game” will take place on Tuesday, March 21 at 10:50 a.m. in room 2002, West Hall of the Moscone Center.
This session provides how enabling bots powered by artificial intelligence will give game developers “cheat codes” to build the game architectures of the future. It will showcase—with actual examples—the problems faced by AI-bots while integrating with games, with tips and tricks to address the challenges to enable a better experience for players and a seamless deployment for developers.
“Every major breakthrough in game technology has required a shift in how developers architect games and game engines, and machine learning-driven artificial intelligence is not an exception,” Sisnett said. “While the industry has a long way to go, there are several ways AI is being integrated into the development system now, challenging the status quo. The good news is that by applying some true and tested techniques early in the development process, game developers can make adopting a less daunting challenge. An incremental approach is possible, and some teams could derive massive value from these AI-enhanced systems with a relatively small effort.” At this session, attendees interested in the latest AI tools and models for games, from PCG-based game design to reinforcement learning (RL), will learn how to build a game where they can add the latest AI models at any time, and try different bots to update and improve gameplay.
GDC 2023 is the game industry’s premier professional event, championing game developers and the advancement of their craft. The conference brings the game development community together to exchange ideas, solve problems, and shape the future of the industry across five days of education, inspiration and networking. Attendees include programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals and business leaders.
