International Workshop

For the first time ever the Annecy International Animation Film Market is exporting its French expertise internationally through a training programme.
Mifa chose to set-up its first training workshop in Jerusalem from 28th to 30th January 2020. In the framework of the Animation du Monde and to answer to the rising demand for support the Annecy International Animation Film Market developed a tailor-made programme in Jerusalem.
This scheme created hand-in-hand with the Israel Institut français and the Jerusalem Film Fund, provided the opportunity for eight Israeli writers to benefit from three days of intensive training, led by Bastien Dubois (director) and Delphine Nicolini (consultant and ex-producer).
Following this three-day workshop, a pitch session nominated four winners, who will come to Mifa this June to present their short films in development at the Pitching – Territory Focus: Israel Spot Light on Jerusalem: Animation Projects & Co-Production Opportunities.
Congratulations to the winners for their projects and see you in Annecy 18th June 2020 to discover:
Leave the Lights On – Dafna Englander
Glug – Ori Goldberg
Pisces – Lee Dror & Omer Hamawy
Your Bad Animals – Ido Shapira & Amit Cohen
Remember to get your accreditations to attend the Annecy International Animation Film Market from 16th to 19th June 2020, and benefit from the early bird rates until 3rd March!
