Insomniac Games Talked of the Inspiration for “Stormland” at OC5 Conference

The VR game Stormland developed by Insomniac Games, one of the developers of VR games, is highly anticipated by players. On an OC5 conference, Chad Dezern, chief creative officer of Insomniac Games, also talked of this VR game co-produced by their company and Oculus in an interview.

“At this year’s OC5, we presented the latest VR game Stormland , in which players can experience a more free exploration mode,” Dezern said.

When asked about the transformation that the development team brought from the previous VR project to Stormland, Dezern said: “This is an opportunity to learn about VR movements and to build each game and learn more. We started from the Third Person Game, ending The Unspoken that used the delivery mechanism, so we didn’t focus too much on the movement. But in the end we were working with Stormland ‘s open world structure, so there were many movement mechanisms.”

When it comes to the inspiration for Stormland, Dezern said: “All of Stormland‘s settings are designed to create a sense of miracle. So we created this world, waiting for people to explore and discover beautiful things inside every rock you climbed.”

Finally, Dezern simply described the scene after the player put on the Head Mounted Display and entered Stormland. He said: “In Stormland, you play a robot, a mysterious gardener, with part of your body destroyed by a vicious guy. So you have to cross the clouds, reach the mysterious country, repair your body and save your friends.
