GT Sport August Update Brings 5 New JDM Cars, Wet Track Conditions and More

Polyphony Digital has released the August 2019 update for GT Sport and it brings 5 brand new JDM cars to the game. Along with the new cars, a new weather condition ‘Wet’ has also arrived for the Red Bull Ring which is kind of weird because earlier the rainy conditions were being tested on another track. So far the rainy conditions are only available on 1 track as well.
Starting with the new cars, all new cars belong to the JDM and some of them are fan favorites and fans have been asking for them for a long time. The cars include:
1999 Honda S2000
1991 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo
1990 Nissan Silvia K’s DIA Selection (S13)
1999 Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Version VI
1983 Toyota Corolla Levin 3door 1600GT APEX (AE86)
All five cars are classic Gran Turismo cars which have been part of the franchise for a really long time. They have finally arrived in GT Sport as well and this bodes well for the fans looking forward to the August update. This time, however, we did not get any new track in the game although we were expecting that Spa-Francorchamps will finally arrive in the game but looks like it will arrive at a later stage.
Finally, seven new stages have been added in the GT Leagues which cater to the newly added vehicles in the game. You will find the new stages added in GT League below.
Beginner League: Two stages added to ‘Beetle & Samba Bus Fest’
Amateur League: Two stages added to ‘J-Sports Meeting’
Professional League: Two stages added to ‘All Japan GT Car Championship’
Endurance League: One stage added to ‘Porsche Cup’
The new update is now live in GT Sports and it is a meaty one weighing around 2.25GB. Players who want to play GT Sport will need to update their game first and get access to all new free content in the game.
