Golden Eggplant Media Brings Creators and Investors Together to Produce Fine Animated Products
Around 200 professionals from the film, animation industry and media attended a conference at Beijing International Film Festival in April, 2018 discussing about the strategy to promote creation of properties through incubation in China. Several new properties were presented at the conference and attracted strong attention. The conference was held by Golden Eggplant Media (Beijing) Co. Ltd.
Established by veterans from animation and film industry in China, Golden Eggplant Media is targeting at incubating potential properties and producing fine animated film and TV series for both domestic and international market through collaboration with professional teams and financial partners.
“It is key to make a right match of the property and the team”, said Joan Ge, co-founder and CEO of the company.
“Discovering high potential properties is the first step and bringing in the right creative team with a professional director and producer to develop the property is the second; and then we will present the properties with the team to film investors for fund raising to produce them.” she added.
Golden Eggplant Media acquires rights from published books/online published properties; originally created rights through exclusive agent agreement or joint-venture with artists or writers.
GEM’s new properties in development are Snack Kingdom (feature), King of Lion Dance (feature), Dragon Print (feature), Little Mushroom Girl(feature & TV series), The Legend of Maya (feature), Detective Panda(feature), The Pianist in the Forest (feature).
GEM wishes to collaborate with property owners; animation talents, including directors, animators, designer and writers; investment agents and film funds from all over the world.
