Gamescom 2025 Awards Announced: Chinese Game Developers Shine on the Global Stage
On August 27, 2025, local time, the official awards list for “gamescom award 2025” was announced at Gamescom 2025, one of the annual premier events in the global video game industry. This year’s awards featured fierce competition, with a multitude of top-tier entries from around the world, and several major awards were ultimately claimed by various standout productions.
Resident Evil: Requiem emerged as the biggest winner, taking home four awards including “Best Visuals,” “Best Audio,” “Most Epic,” and “Best PlayStation Game,” and was also recognized for “Best Lineup,” solidifying its dominant presence. Capcom also received the award for Best Exhibited Game Lineup.
Domestic Chinese games garnered significant attention at this year’s event. Love and Deep Space, developed by Papergames, won the award for “Best Mobile Game.” Meanwhile, Phantom Blade Zero, a next-gen third-person action-adventure RPG independently developed and published by Beijing S-Game Studio, received a nomination for “Best Audio.” Additionally, miHoYo’s Genshin Impact was nominated in the Best Mobile Game category.
