In this atmospheric action-adventure, players step into the role of Venya, a young woman gifted with magical abilities and the rare power to transform into three animal forms: a wolf, a raccoon , and a raven

As the world around her falls into chaos, Venya must master her abilities and find inner peace to restore balance to a fractured magical realm. Blending exploration, combat and emotional storytelling, the game invites players to experience transformation not just as a mechanic, but as a journey of self-discovery.

Edenfall: Legacy of the First Wardens is set to release in 2026, but players who can’t wait that long can dash over to Steam to download the free demo that has just launched today.

The demo gives players an early taste of the shapeshifting and combat mechanics while exploring a standalone area of Eden. You’ll be able to wield magic as human, call your pack as wolf, sneak as raccoon, spread your wings as raven and much more!

About the game

Edenfall: Legacy of the First Wardens is a single-player action-adventure set in a charming, hand-crafted environment. Players will play as Venya, a young shapeshifting heroine, on her journey through a whimsical world.

Eden has been overrun by evil creatures. It’s your task to drive them out and heal the world. Discover your people’s past and uncover your magical abilities, including the power to transform into animals.

To restore peace to Eden, Venya must first find inner peace within herself. Scattered throughout the world are serene, sacred spots that aid you in achieving this through meditation. After defeating all enemies and the boss of an area, you’ll be rewarded with the breathtaking experience of the once-corrupted land being restored.

Edenfall is developed by Laurenz Baumgartner aka Everflux Games, a one-man studio from Austria. Before Edenfall, he worked as an architect and has years of experience in architectural visualisation. Edenfall is his debut game.
