The Hollywood sci-fi action adventure blockbuster Predator produced by the 20th Century Fox has received much attention from fans since its preparation. The restarting of a classic IP always leads to two kinds of discussions, one is whether it inherit the previous work and have new breakthroughs, the other is whether it can interact with similar IP. Recently, the director Shane Blake (Director of “Iron Man 3”) has answered the two questions in an interview by the production team.
Concerning the classic movie IP – the predator, in addition to the three main lines of works (Predator, Predators, Predator 2), there are two classic derivatives Alien vs. Predator and Aliens vs Predator – Requiem. The AVP series satisfy fans’ illusions about the combination of two classic sci-fi IPs while the coincidence of two space-times also adds mysteriousness and authenticity to the existence of these alien lives. Some fans asked about whether to combine the Predator with the Alien. Black said that we are mainly focusing on the predator now, and “”I don’t think the AVP series is over.” This also led to many fans’ speculations about the new work.
As is learned, the film will be released in North America on September 14th this year.
