Diablo IV Chinese Server Officially Launches on December 12

Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that Diablo IV will launch in China on December 12, 2025, marking the highly anticipated arrival of this large-scale online action role-playing game in the Chinese mainland market. This release represents a key strategic move by Blizzard in the Chinese market, committed to providing domestic players with a gaming experience fully consistent with the international version.
Global Synchronization, Identical Experience
Officials have confirmed that the Chinese client has been synchronized with the global servers and updated to version 2.4.2. This means Chinese players will directly experience all the latest game content, including recent storyline updates, class balance adjustments, and gameplay system optimizations, without going through the version lag typical in traditional online games.
Blizzard Entertainment formally announced the news on November 4 through the international version’s splash ads and domestic social media platforms such as Weibo and WeChat. Particularly noteworthy is that the Chinese server will adopt the same operational strategy as other regions in Europe, America, and Asia, allowing players to seamlessly integrate with the international server’s progress and participate in future version updates alongside the global community.
No Restart, Global Progress Compatibility
Officials have particularly emphasized that players in the Chinese server will not need to restart their progress. This policy breaks the traditional restrictions of regional servers, ensuring that player progress remains synchronized with the global servers. This means domestic players can directly participate in upcoming global in-game events, such as the 11th season’s “Leaderboard System,” and compete on the same stage as Diablo IV players worldwide.
This globally synchronized operational model is innovative in the Chinese gaming market, guaranteeing both the timeliness of game content and the interconnectedness of the player community on a global scale.
Stress Tests Ensure Launch Stability
To ensure a smooth official launch on December 12, Blizzard plans to conduct one to three rounds of free stress tests. The company stated that the number of test rounds will be adjusted flexibly based on actual conditions, aiming to comprehensively evaluate server capacity, network stability, and game system performance, thereby providing players with a seamless launch experience.
The launch of Diablo IV in China signifies Blizzard Entertainment’s important return and strategic deployment in the Chinese market, demonstrating the company’s commitment and dedication to the Chinese player community. As December 12 approaches, fans of the Diablo series in China will finally enjoy a gaming experience on par with the international version, embarking on an adventure in the latest installment of this iconic series together.
