DANDELOOO SIGNS DEAL WITH GRUPO GLOBO FOR PRE-SCHOOL SERIES ‘PETIT’ AND ELLA OSCAR & HOO
Emmy Award-winning French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo has signed a deal with Grupo Globo in Brazil for Season One and Two of the pre-school animated series’ Petit and Ella Oscar & Hoo. Both series will be available on Globo’s children’s OTT platform Giga Gloob and Pay TV channel Gloobinho.
Nominated for the 8th International Emmy® Kids Awards, Season Three with a further 26 x 7’ new episodes, is currently in production will see with the adventures of Petit, a sweet, fun, brave, creative, sensitive, thoughtful, intense, and innocent child who has a unique point of view of the world around him, as every boy and girl does!
Based on the book “Petit el monstruo” written and illustrated by Isol, an Astrid Lindgren Award winner, Petit (Season I: 26 x 7’; Season II: 13 x 7’) is a 2D series targeted at 4 to 7-year-olds. The series is produced by Chilean production studio Pájaro in co-production with Argentina’s Pakapaka and Nonstop and Colombia’s Señal Colombia.

Petit always breaks the mold. Everyday events like swimming classes, a challenging homework, wanting to go to an amusement park, or a simple bug bite are just starting points for Petit, who’ll always manage to scale things up by thinking way out of the box. He challenges the established rules and along with his friends and family, finds his own unique answers.
Ella, Oscar & Hoo (52 x 11’), produced by French animation company Normaal and Piwi+, Canal+’s preschool channel is based on the picture books by Théo de Marcousin & Michael Dudok De Wit. A smart bubbly girl, a bouncy little boy, and a very young cloud: here are Ella, Oscar & Hoo! Together they will chase dinosaurs, explore mysterious woods, or be Santa’s devoted assistants… Every day is a new adventure, an opportunity to learn together about courage, honesty, and childhood friendship!

Dandelooo’s productions include the hybrid pre-school series The Treehouse Stories (three seasons on air, a 4th in production and two theatrical films), which won an International Emmy Kids Award in 2017, Chico Chica Boumba commissioned by M6 and the animated feature film Houdini.
The company has just delivered Stinky Dog (52 x 11′) to France Televisions and TV3 Catalunya, and the wonderful TV Special Mum is pouring rain (winner of a Jury Award for a TV Special at Annecy 2021) to Canal+, is now in production for the pre-school series Billy the Cowboy Hamster (52 x 11′) and is about to start production for The Upside Down River (8 x 26′) a serialized series for kids based on the cult novel by Jean Claude Mourlevat. Dandelooo is also developing loguis, an original project to initiate yoga for preschoolers.
On the international sales front, Dandelooo is very proud to distribute Shooom’s Odyssey (Annecy Cristal 2020 as best TV Special), the preschool series Jasmine & Jambo and the new meaningful Dounia.
Dandelooo has its own studio, Ooolala, in la Cartoucherie (Valence, France) and a sales office in Barcelona, Spain.
