Cyberpunk 2077 Will Feature Flying Vehicles but You Cannot Buy Them

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most hyped games at the moment and every major event brings some new information about this amazing game. Gamescom 2019 is currently happening in Germany which means that CD Projekt RED is definitely present there along with some new Cyberpunk 2077 news. The latest news to come from the game producer himself is that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature flying vehicles however players will not be able to purchase them.
This was revealed by CD Projekt RED producer Richard Borzymowsky who was speaking to Twinfinite at the event. Richard detailed this to Twinfinite while they were discussing in-game vehicles. If you have been following Cyberpunk 2077 for some time, then you would know that the game will allow players to purchase cars and motorbikes that they can store in their garage. However, road vehicles are not the only type of vehicles in the game.
Throughout the demos revealed so far, you can see many different types of flying vehicles as well which include helicopters as well. However, these flying vehicles are only part of the game in specific mission parts and they are pretty much scripted. Richard did not give a very straightforward answer when he was asked about the player being able to drive these flying vehicles.
His exact words to Twinfinite were:
There are flying vehicles in the universe, and we’re using them in the right part of the story.
And about the driving bit:
In the story maybe, you will have to have to find out.
Having been able to purchase and store flying vehicles would have made the game really cool however we understand that it would have made the game easier as well. The game already features a decent number of cars and motorbikes that players can purchase, store them in garages and take them for a spin.
Earlier we got to know that CD Projekt RED is working on a New Game Plus mode for Cyberpunk 2077 as well and it might arrive with the game right at launch. The developer also shared that they have optimized the game really well and it will perform really well on consoles and low-end PCs. Depending on your choice, the game will put you through one of three different prologues at the start of the game.
