China’s Ant Group enters the embodied intelligent robot circuit
China, as the world’s largest producer of humanoid robots, is expected to have a market size of 2.76 billion yuan in 2024 and exceed 100 billion yuan by 2030. Morgan Stanley, a renowned international investment bank, previously released a list of the top 100 listed companies in the global humanoid robot field titled “Humanoid Robots 100: Mapping the Humanoid Robot Value Chain”, which included 37 Chinese companies such as UBTECH and BYD.

2025 is regarded as a “key year” for the mass production of humanoid robots. Global tech giants like Tesla (Optimus) and Google (Apollo), as well as domestic companies like Xiaomi and BYD, have all entered the market.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Guiding Opinions on the Innovative Development of Humanoid Robots” clearly states that batch production will be achieved by 2025 and an internationally competitive industrial ecosystem will be established by 2027. The government work reports of multiple provinces have made key plans for future industries including humanoid robots. For instance, Beijing has proposed to actively layout and build future industries, focusing on cultivating 20 future industries such as humanoid robots, and plans to host a World Humanoid Robot Games. The “Chucai” series of humanoid robots from Hubei Province also made a stunning debut at the “First Meeting of the Year” this year.

The humanoid robot industry currently presents the following development status:
Accelerated technological innovation: The rapid progress of artificial intelligence technology has driven the development of general robot large models, providing strong technical support for the intelligence of humanoid robots. For instance, DeepSeek AI, with its cost reduction and open-source advantages, has enabled breakthroughs in areas such as environmental perception and task planning for humanoid robots. Guojin Securities points out that its distillation solution is expected to accelerate the transition of robots from single command execution to continuous autonomous evolution.

Expanding application scenarios: The application scenarios of humanoid robots are constantly enriching. Entering industrial settings has become a relatively certain application trend both domestically and internationally. In industrial manufacturing fields such as assembly lines and new energy vehicle factories, they can efficiently complete repetitive and labor-intensive tasks and replace human work in harsh environments. In the field of life services, they can undertake household chores such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry, and provide companionship and care services. In business activities, they can serve as receptionists, tour guides, and perform commercial performances.
