CEE Animation Forum 2025 Kicked Off in Pilsen

The CEE Animation Forum, the leading regional pitching, financing, and co-production market for European animated projects, returned to Pilsen from November 4–6, 2025. The thirteenth edition featured 29 animated projects in Pitching Competition, around 40 projects on the Market and almost 200 industry professionals in attendance. Once again, the CEEA Forum is set on a mission to spotlight the creativity in European animation, boost the projects´ international visibility and potential, and promote and facilitate new partnerships.

6 feature films, 6 TV series, 9 short films, and 8 student shorts – a total of 29 projects from across Europe in various stages of development and production were competing for over €50,000 in cash and non-monetary awards, including placements at top European training programmes, markets, and services.

The selected projects cover a variety of engaging stories and employ different techniques and styles, while catering to different target audiences: children up to 12 years old (12 projects), teenagers and young adults (7), and adult audiences (10). About 70% of the projects come from the CEE region, led by Czechia (5), Poland (4), and Hungary (3).
