Produced by Rovio Entertainment and SEGA, and distributed globally by Paramount Pictures, the highly anticipated animated film Angry Birds 3 has officially been scheduled for release in North America on December 23, 2026. The release date has been moved forward from the previously announced January 29, 2027, strategically positioning the film for the competitive Christmas holiday season.

Voice Cast: Original Core Returns, Influencer Stars Join

Beloved original voice cast members are all returning: Jason Sudeikis continues to voice the hot-tempered Red, Josh Gad returns as the energetic Chuck, Rachel Bloom reprises her role as the quick-witted Silver, and Danny McBride is back as the lovable Bomb.

The film is directed by John Rice, who previously directed the first Angry Birds Movie. The screenplay is written by Thurop Van Orman, who directed and co-wrote The Angry Birds Movie 2. John Cohen, Dan Chuba, and Carla Connor serve as producers, with Thurop Van Orman and Toru Nakahara as executive producers.

Heitor Pereira, who composed the scores for the first two films as well as the Despicable Me series and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, returns to compose the music. Animation production is handled by DNEG Animation, with Jeanie Chang as Production Director and Francesca Natale as Character Designer. DNEG Animation will oversee the film’s storyboarding, art development, and full animation pipeline.

The film is a co-production between Rovio Entertainment, SEGA, Prime Focus Studios, Flywheel Media, One Cool Group, and dentsu. Paramount Pictures has taken over global theatrical distribution duties, succeeding Sony Pictures which handled the first two installments.
