Introducing unmetered access to Substance 3D Assets: Access what you need, when inspiration strikes
Adobe has introduced unmetered access to its Substance 3D Assets library for all Substance 3D subscribers on a Collection or Texturing plan. This change allows users to access the complete library of nearly 20,000 professional materials, models, and lighting environments without point limitations.

Originally launched in 2016 as Substance Source, the library has grown to become a significant resource for 3D creators across industries, including game development, product design, and automotive visualization. The assets are developed by expert technical artists and designers using various techniques such as procedural development and high-end scanning.
The Substance 3D Assets library includes over 13,000 materials, categorized into surfaces, decals, and atlases. These materials adhere to PBR standards, ensuring compatibility across different rendering engines. They are available in .sbsar and .sbs formats, allowing for both immediate use and in-depth customization within Substance 3D Designer. The collection also features more than 6,000 production-ready 3D models in .fbx and .glb formats, each with professionally unwrapped UVs and optimized polygon counts.
Additionally, the library provides parametric 3D HDR lighting assets that offer control over individual light sources, temperature, intensity, and color. Unlike traditional HDRI environments, these assets allow real-time adjustments within a single file, streamlining the lighting setup process.
