A Battle Royale Mode May Arrive in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Later

According to a recent leak, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may yet receive a battle royale mode next year. It was revealed earlier that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will ship with a singleplayer campaign and it will not launch with a battle royale mode however the mode might arrive later it seems. According to the leak, the release window for Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode is 2020.
The leak comes from YouTuber LongSensation who states that a battle royale mode is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, however, the release is planned for 2020. Right at launch, the game will ship with the regular single-player campaign along with multiplayer and a co-op Spec Ops mode similar to earlier Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles. Battle Royale was introduced in the franchise last year and Black Ops 4 shipped with Blackout.
LongSensation also revealed that despite it will be downloaded as a separate game, it will be connected with the main game and it will arrive free for all players. There has been no official statement on this by Infinity Ward as of yet and we are not really sure if they would comment on this at this point. Even if they are planning to release a battle royale mode later, they will keep it quiet for now.
