Midwest Games Brings on Adam Orth, Cisco Maldonado, and Charlotte Cook to Help Drive Next Phase of Publishing Innovation

Midwest Games Focuses on Serving Publishers with New Executive Talent and International Expansion
Midwest Games, the video game publisher pioneering a publishing-as-a-service model, announced the additions of industry veterans Adam Orth, Cisco Maldonado, and Charlotte Cook, further driving its strategic power in the publishing space. Each brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience, aimed to further Midwest Games’ pursuit of adapting to the ever-changing industry landscape and embodying the ethos of “your co-pilot to modern publishing.”
Midwest Games is also broadening its international footprint, beginning in Europe, to provide publishers with flexible support across global territories. Already establishing partnerships with groups like Chimera Entertainment and Mindscape, this move lays the groundwork to better serve more publishers navigating increasingly complex and cross-border market dynamics.
Joining as Chief Operating Officer, Adam Orth is a video game executive with a proven track record of developing exceptional interactive experiences. Throughout his career, Adam has held director and founder roles across startups and global video game, entertainment and technology companies, including: Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Santa Monica, Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Lucasarts. His role at Midwest will see him focusing on company operations, partnerships, business development and building out the Midwest Games network of experienced publishing resources.
The publisher has also brought on Cisco Maldonado and Charlotte Cook to act as Executive Advisors, supporting key areas of its business strategy. Cisco brings experience as a publishing and franchise strategist, having held senior leadership roles at NetEase Games, Bandai Namco and DC Comics/Warner Bros. He excels in shaping go-to-market strategy, portfolio positioning, and facilitating long-term IP growth across multiple AAA franchises. Charlotte is a senior commercial leader in the global video games industry, known for building scalable publishing operations and driving disciplined growth strategies. The previous Global Commercial Director at Team17, Charlotte’s experience overseeing go-to-market execution, global partnerships, and portfolio performance, will be key to strengthening Midwest Games’ pursuit for commercial expansion.
Along with announcing these key hires, Midwest Games will also have a presence at GDC (Games Developer Conference) 2026, hosting multiple events centered around connecting industry professionals and providing spaces for publisher discussions. The first event is The D2Sea Yacht Cruise, took place on March 11. In collaboration with FastSpring and Helpshift, the cruise is an exclusive event with industry thought leaders, designed to provide networking opportunities in an intimate setting on San Francisco Bay. The second event, titled “Publishing Day,” took place on March 12. In partnership with Xsolla, this event aims to bring together leaders from indie to AAA publishing, hosting a speaking panel and guided discussions that focus on sharing current challenges and opportunities, and how publishers can collaborate to weather the current landscape.
