GTA VI Release Delayed Again, Officially Confirmed for November 2026
The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) has faced another release schedule change. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, confirmed during its latest earnings call that the title’s launch has been postponed to November 19, 2026. This marks the second major delay since the game was officially announced.
According to the latest information released by Take-Two Interactive, GTA VI was originally scheduled for Fall 2025, then adjusted to May 26, 2026. This further postponement pushes the final release date approximately one year later than the initial plan.
In a statement posted on its official social media channels, Rockstar Games expressed gratitude for player interest and explained the reason for the delay: “We understand this has been a long wait, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment. This additional development time will allow us to further polish the game and ensure it meets the level of quality and refinement players expect from us.”
As one of the most influential game IPs globally, the development progress of the new Grand Theft Auto installment has been closely watched by both the industry and players. This adjustment to the release schedule is expected to impact Take-Two’s revenue projections for the new fiscal year. The company stated that further related plans will be shared subsequently. While the repeated delay may disappoint some fans, Rockstar Games emphasized that the team will use this time to continue refining the game experience, striving to deliver a polished product that meets global player expectations. More details regarding GTA VI will be released in the coming months.
