Guangdong (Guangzhou) Game Industry Global Expansion Service Center and Enterprise Service Center Officially Launched
To further empower local game companies in global market expansion and enhance integrated industry services, the Guangdong (Guangzhou) Game Industry Global Expansion Service Center and Enterprise Service Center were officially inaugurated today. This dual-center initiative, jointly established by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and industry associations, marks a significant step in strengthening Guangzhou’s position as a global hub for game development and digital creativity.
Key Functions of the Centers
Global Expansion Support
- Provides localization consulting, cross-border publishing guidance, and international IP protection to help domestic game companies navigate overseas markets.
- Offers market intelligence and policy analysis for key regions, including Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
- Facilitates connections with global distributors, platforms, and esports partners.
Enterprise Services
- Streamlines administrative processes, including game licensing approvals, tax incentives, and talent recruitment.
- Supports financing and investment matchmaking for startups and mid-sized studios.
- Organizes industry exchanges, training programs, and networking events.
Government and Industry Backing
The centers have received strong support from provincial and municipal authorities, reflecting Guangzhou’s commitment to fostering innovation in the digital economy. A spokesperson for the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology stated:
“Guangzhou is home to one of China’s most vibrant game industry clusters. These centers will serve as a bridge, helping enterprises overcome challenges in globalization and operational efficiency while driving high-quality growth in the sector.”
Leading game companies, including NetEase, Tencent, and 37 Interactive Entertainment, have expressed support for the initiative, highlighting its potential to reduce barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in international expansion.
Future Plans
The centers will collaborate with global partners such as Google Play, Apple App Store, and Steam to optimize publishing processes. Additionally, they plan to launch an “AI-Driven Localization Lab” to assist developers in adapting content for different cultural markets.
