2025 “Large Models + Embodied Intelligence” Development and Data Ecosystem Construction Seminar

The 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Working Committee of the Internet Society of China and the Fifth AI Wisdom Salon – “Large Models + Embodied Intelligence” Development and Data Ecosystem Construction Seminar was held in Beijing. This event was hosted by the Artificial Intelligence Working Committee of the Internet Society of China (hereinafter referred to as the “Working Committee”), organized by the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, and co-organized by the Data Set Working Group of the Artificial Intelligence Security Governance Special Committee of the China Internet Society for Cyberspace Security and the Embodied Intelligence Working Group of the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance.

Lu Wei, vice chairman of the Internet Society of China, Huang Tiejun, director of the Working Committee, chairman of Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence and professor at Peking University, Nan Xinsheng, deputy director of the Working Committee and deputy secretary-general of the China Communications Standards Association, Liu Zhiyong, deputy chief engineer of China Telecom Group, Wei Kai, director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and chairperson of the AIIA General Group, and Zeng Wei, researcher at Peking University, attended the meeting. Lin Yonghua, vice president and chief engineer of the Academy of Artificial Intelligence and chairperson of the Data Set Working Group of the AI Special Committee of the Internet Society of China, as well as over 100 other attendees including speakers at the salon, representatives of local governments and relevant member units, also participated in the meeting.

The Nanxin New Generation Representative Work Committee presented its 2025 annual work report, comprehensively summarizing the achievements and shortcomings of the work committee in 2024 in promoting the development of the artificial intelligence industry, organizing forums and salons, formulating standards, and facilitating exchanges and cooperation. It also made a comprehensive deployment for the work in 2025. In 2025, under the leadership of the Internet Society of China, the work committee will join hands with all member units to deeply explore the development of large models in key areas such as embodied intelligence and data ecosystems, and continue to carry out application landing work including salon forums, application skills competitions, standard promotion, and training systems, contributing to the development of China’s artificial intelligence industry.

Lu Wei presented the “Outstanding Member Unit Award” of the China Internet Society’s Artificial Intelligence Working Committee to five organizations: Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, China Mobile Research Institute, China Telecom AI Technology Co., Ltd., the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd.

Huang Tiejun awarded the “Leading Expert Award” of the China Internet Society’s Artificial Intelligence Working Committee to Lin Yonghua from the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Feng Junlan from China Mobile, Wei Kai from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Li Juanzi from Tsinghua University.

Liu Zhiyong presented the “Outstanding Research Team Award” of the China Internet Society’s Artificial Intelligence Working Committee to six teams: the Industry Application Team of the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, the AI Standards Team of the China Mobile Research Institute, the Digital Human Team of China Telecom AI Technology Co., Ltd., the AI Data Working Group of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the Knowledge Intelligence Research Center of the Tsinghua University Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, and the Big Data Intelligent System Research Center of the Peking University Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.

The meeting also announced the list of changes in the deputy chairpersons of the working committee. Huang Tiejun, the director of the AI Industry Development Department of Huawei’s Standards and Industry Development, and Zhu Jiaquan, the vice president and general manager of the Operator Business Division of iFLYTEK, were awarded the certificates of “Deputy Chairperson”.

This meeting and salon was co-chaired by Deng Kai, the Secretary-General of the Working Committee, and Xia Wenhui, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Artificial Intelligence Security Governance Special Committee of the China Cyberspace Security Association.

The atmosphere of the seminar was lively, with the participating guests actively sharing their views. They discussed issues related to the development of “large models + embodied intelligence” and the construction of data ecosystems, providing valuable insights for the future development of the industry. The participants expressed that this meeting provided an important exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of artificial intelligence, representatives of enterprises, and local governments. It promoted communication and cooperation among all parties in the development of “large models + embodied intelligence” and the construction of data ecosystems, injecting new impetus into the innovative development of China’s artificial intelligence industry.
