Here Comes the Adorable Dolls from the Animated Film “UglyDolls”
Recently, the new film “UglyDolls” directed by Kelly Asbury (“Shrek 2” and “Gnomeo & Juliet”) has exposed a character poster. In the poster, this group of ugly little dolls appeared with very adorable postures, which was very amusing.
With warm colors, adorable shapes and hilarious movements, Trolls is an animated cartoon aimed at families, teenagers and women around 20 years old. As the first of the series, the film tells the story of a group of dolls pursuing a dream. They go to the perfect world, demonstrating that they can achieve their wishes and be favored by people through their own efforts.
The story of Trolls is inspired by a couple at the New York School of Art. After the September 11 attacks, Sun-Min-Kim from South Korea had to return to South Korea while David Horvath had to stay in New York and missed her very much. So David Horvath began to write to Kim Sun-Min. In every letter, he drew a small monster named Wage to amuse her. Wage is a hardworking orange monster dressed in an apron. At one Christmas, Sun-Min stitched Wage into a rag doll and called it “Uglydoll”. So the first uglydoll was born. In the following years, the uglydolls gradually developed into a big family, and had their original comics, short films and puppets.
Among them, Moxy will be voiced by the singer Kelly Clarkson, who will also sing an original song. In addition, Pitbull (ArmandoChristianPerez), Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton, and Janelle Monae will all participate in the dubbing and sing the Soundtracks. Leehom Wang will also join the cast and voice LuckyBat.
Currently, the film is scheduled to be released on May 10, 2019.
