“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” was Presented Detroit Film Critics Society Awards
A few days ago, winners of the 2018 Detroit Film Critics Society Awards were released. The Best Animation Award was presented to the superhero animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” jointly produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Animation. In addition, “Eighth Grade” won Best Film, Ethan Hawke (“First Reformed”) and Toni Collette (“Hereditary”) won Best Actor and Best Actress.

At the same time, the wind direction vane of Best Animation Award of Oscar – the 46th Annie Awards nomination list has also been announced. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” won seven nominations, including Best Animated Feature, Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Character Design. It also won Best Animated Film of Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards. This Marvel Super Hero Animated Film will be released in China on December 21st, concluding this year’s Chinese Film Market.
Previously, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”’s ban on foreign websites was also been lifted. TheWrap commented: “It’s an incredibly thrilling movie viewing experience. The film is fascinating from start to the end, undoubtedly the best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2!” The Weekend Warrior defines it as “Not only the most amazing Spider-Man movie ever, but even better than most Spider-Man comics!”
The vibrant visual style is one of the most striking features of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. This is not only an innovative creation of CG animated films, but a tribute to the classic comic style of the Golden Age. In the movie, there are comic-like moments, highlighting the details with flashing frames. The whole movie is full of new sound effects and stylized visual effects, making the audience feel like being in a comic book.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” tells the story of how an ordinary high school student Miles Morales learned from Spiderman Peter Parker and grew up to a superhero of a new generation. There is more than one Spiderman! In the film, Miles and other spidermen formed a group, including Peter, Spider-Gwen, Spiderman Noir, Penny Parker and Spider-Ham from the other parallel universes. The six Spider-Men are assembled on the same big screen for the first time, fighting against the most powerful villains in the Spider-Man universe.
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” will be released in mainland China on December 21st.
