New AI, New Computing — The 7th AI Computing Conference (AICC2026) Grandly Opens in Beijing

The 7th AI Computing Conference (AICC 2026) kicked off on September 21 at Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Beijing. Centered on the theme of “New AI, New Computing”, the event brings together academicians, top-tier scientists and leading industry technologists. It connects the full technical chain covering chips, interconnection, storage, systems, scheduling and operators, to discuss technical breakthroughs, engineering practices and industrial implementation paths for AI computing in the agent-driven.

Driven by continuous large-model evolution, AI agent applications are being rapidly deployed across industries. Artificial intelligence is evolving beyond simple one-turn question-answering toward new intelligent capabilities including continuous reasoning, task planning and autonomous execution, which is reshaping the underlying computing architecture in an all-round way. Meanwhile, the industry is confronted with multiple challenges: expanding training scale, inference efficiency improvement, system elasticity, data movement overhead and computing cost control. AI computing is shifting from isolated performance tuning toward full-stack collaborative innovation.

As China’s authoritative technical event focused on AI computing, AICC2026 explores next-generation AI computing architectures for agent-oriented scenarios, with in-depth discussions on co-design chips, computing-storage integration, open super-nodes and other cutting-edge technologies. The conference consists of one main forum, multiple thematic sessions and a 3,000-square-meter intelligent technology exhibition. More than 3,000 participants including researchers, developers, industry practitioners from finance, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, energy sectors and media attend the event, where nearly 60 high-level technical presentations are delivered to build a high-end bridge linking industry, academia and research institutes.

AICC2026 carries profound industrial significance. Computing power serves as a fundamental cornerstone for new-quality productive forces. Responding to infrastructure changes brought by the agent boom, the conference removes barriers across technical links and advances joint breakthroughs in algorithms, computing resources and data. It advocates diversified technical pathways, accelerates the transformation of research achievements into real-world productivity, and fosters a secure, independent and resilient AI computing ecosystem to empower digital transformation across industries.

Looking ahead to the AI industry, participants shared a joint vision. The AI computing community shall keep advancing chip-architecture innovation, hardware-software co-optimization and open-source ecosystem construction, lowering barriers for intelligent application adoption. AI intelligence should grow from exclusive capacity for a small number of organizations into universally accessible public capability. With joint efforts across the industrial chain, common bottlenecks such as energy consumption, supply matching and ecosystem compatibility will be addressed. Solid computing infrastructure will support large-scale agent deployment and fuel the high-quality, sustainable development of China’s artificial intelligence sector.
