2025 Steam Awards Nominations Closing Soon

The nomination phase for the 2025 Steam Awards is set to close at 2:00 AM Beijing Time on December 2. Players worldwide still have a final opportunity to nominate and vote for their favorite games.
This year’s awards feature 11 categories, comprehensively covering key dimensions of the gaming industry. The categories include “Game of the Year,” “VR Game of the Year,” “Labor of Love,” “Best Deck Game,” “Better With Friends,” “Outstanding Visual Style,” “Most Innovative Gameplay,” “Best Game You Suck At,” “Best Soundtrack,” “Outstanding Story-Rich Game,” and “Sit Back and Relax.” These awards aim to honor games released in 2025 that have demonstrated excellence in gameplay innovation, artistic expression, technical achievement, and platform experience.

According to an official Steam announcement, players who successfully complete the nomination process will receive an exclusive “Steam Awards Nominating Committee” profile badge. Additionally, by participating in subsequent voting activities, players can earn platform experience points to effectively increase their Steam level.
Following the nomination phase, Steam will announce the finalists for each category during the Winter Sale and open the voting channel to all users. The final results will be officially announced at 2:00 AM Beijing Time on January 4, 2026.
This awards event is open to Steam users worldwide, providing gaming enthusiasts with an important platform to recognize outstanding titles. Industry insiders believe that the Steam Awards not only acknowledge game developers but also reflect the engagement of the player community.
