The 2025 Esports World Cup China Qualifiers for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) concluded successfully in Shanghai, with DFYG and TLG claiming the men’s and women’s championships, respectively, earning the right to represent China at the World Cup.

–The finals of the 2025 Esports World Cup China Qualifiers for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang wrapped up at Shanghai’s Caohejing Impression City. As the only event in the 2025 Esports World Cup to feature both men’s and women’s competitions, the China Qualifiers determined three teams that will carry the nation’s pride to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 15 to 19, competing in the 2025 Esports World Cup: MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the 2025 Esports World Cup: MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) against the world’s best teams.
Notably, the MWI stands as the largest women’s esports tournament within the world’s highest-profile multi-title esports event. This year’s MWI qualifiers spanned 57 countries and regions, setting a new record with 16 participating teams—up from last year’s 12—marking the debut of teams from Africa, Mongolia, and Turkey, further expanding the global footprint of women’s MLBB esports. With a $500,000 prize pool, the MWI is now one of the highest-paying women’s esports tournaments in history. The champion team will not only lift the trophy but also take home $150,000, with the remaining prize money distributed among other competitors.

Wu Jianrong, Global Head of Esports Ecosystem at Moonton, stated:
“Advancing women’s esports requires constant innovation. This year’s MWI—with its expanded regions, new teams, and revamped format—reflects Moonton’s collaboration with the Esports World Cup Foundation in driving global growth for women’s esports. We aim to provide female players with a sustainable career path, proving they can compete at the highest level. The MWI will remain a key platform in our mission to elevate women’s esports, setting a trend for the Esports World Cup and beyond.”
