2020CICAF Launches Overseas Investment Promotion Exhibition, Debuts at Singapore ATF

The 20th Asian Television Forum and Market (ATF) was held in Singapore from December 4th to 6th. The Asian TV Forum & Market (ATF) was first held in 2000 and has been held annually at the Marina Bay Sands Exhibition and Convention Centre in Singapore since then. It is the largest TV program market in Asia.

This year’s ATF market size has increased by 5% compared to last year. There are a total of 55 participants from 55 countries and regions. The diversity of TV content and cooperation opportunities reflects the rising position of Asia in the media and entertainment sector.

CICAF, the State Delegate in Animation Festival

This year’s ATF “China Joint Exhibition Stand” covers an area of ​​224 square meters, with a total of 19 domestic film and television organizations. China International Animation Festival is the only domestic animation professional festival to participate in national delegations. Other exhibitors include Zhongnan Cartoon, Huace Film and Television, Zhejiang MegaMedia, China International Television Corporation, SMG, Tencent and other enterprises and institutions.

China New Works Promotion Conference

On December 4th, the first day of the ATF content market, a “China New Projects Promotion Conference” hosted by the State Council Information Office and the State Administration of Radio and Television was held.

The conference presented the six projects that were selected through the application, which include four animation projects   l of“Jiangnan”, “23# Milk Sugar”,“P.King Duckling” and “Baotietie”

During the ATF, CICAF was connected with TV stations, new media, content distributors and animation companies from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries, and introduced  the China International Animation Festival Industry Expo and Business Conference iABC , Golden Monkey Award Competition and Hangzhou Summit of International Animation Alliance, and send a sincere invitation to the other party.

Many foreign exhibitors spoke highly of the animation festival, and also expressed their intentions to application and  participation. Foreign exhibitors pay more attention to business negotiation activities. Among them, Thailand and Singapore are expected to organize delegations to participate in iABC.

The representatives of the Animation Festival introduce the domestic companies such as SMG Sunshine Pictures, Golden Eagle Cartoon, Jade Animation, and Pomelo Culture to Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and other foreign exhibitors, as well as invite outstanding animation films and animation series to  participating in the Golden Monkey Award. The domestic and foreign companies have expressed their recognition.

Among them, the Malaysian local animated film “Agent Ali” and “Frozen 2” were released at the same time while the box office of Ali is beyond Fronzen 2. They expressed their intention to participate in the Golden Monkey Award after the primary negotiation. Jianna, produced by SMG Shanghai Film, and Baotietie , produceced by Shanghai UCMM present the intention to attend the competition.

UCMM exhibitors even said that the “Golden Monkey Award” and Hangzhou are “blessed places” for “Baotietie“. As early as in 2015, “Baotietie” won the Golden Monkey Award for the most potential anime image, Since then, it has developed into a series of films, which are welcomed by domestic and foreign.
