The Russian animated series Leo&Tig expands its presence in Europe
Digital Television Russia and the major European premium television and content group, Canal+ Group, have entered into an agreement to sell to its preschool channel Piwi+ the broadcasting rights for Leo&Tig series’ second season produced by Parovoz animation studio.
The second season of the show starts on Piwi+ this autumn. The launch is to be carried out in two stages: episodes 1-13 will be shown in September 2020, the episodes 14-26 are due in October. Leo&Tig’ broadcasting area includes France and other countries, where French is also widely spoken, such as Switzerland, Belgium, etc. The heroes of the popular Russian franchise will speak French again!
For the first time these countries saw the adventures of restless leopard Leo and his friend Tig The Tiger in November 2018. The project was successfully launched and won the hearts of millions of young viewers.
Piwi+ is a French pay television channel for preschoolers established in 2003 and which is also a part of the Canal+ Group.
Leo&Tig is a cartoon about the adventures of a small, restless leopard named Leo and his best friend Tig the tiger. Every day two little friends explore amazing environment of the Far East and learning new thing about the word around and know how to be friendly and kind, to help each other, and to respect nature.
Second season of Leo&Tig tells a story of monkey Lily from China who got lost. Leo, Tig and their friends Cuba, Mila, Yara go to Australia, Antarctica, Africa, India to get Lily back to her family in China. They meet animals from far away countries, embark on dangerous but exciting adventures and finally help their new-found friend Lily.
It is important to note that production of Leo&Tig is supported by Amur Tiger Center, established by Russian president.
