The Global Developer Pioneers Conference 2025

The opening ceremony of the Global Developer Pioneers Conference (GDC) was held on February 22 at the Xianxia Theatre in Shanghai, China. As the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a foreign member of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States, Academician Shen previously served as the Executive Vice President of Microsoft Corporation, responsible for promoting the medium and long-term overall technical strategy and forward-looking research and development work. This speech will focus on the trends of multimodal and world models, deeply analyze the direction of cutting-edge technologies, and explore how multimodal integration reshapes model construction, revealing its profound impact on the future development of AI.

This conference will bring forward bidding projects with a total value exceeding 10 billion yuan in artificial intelligence. Zhu Xiaohu, China’s first researcher in general artificial intelligence security, will join hands with the Center for Safe AGI community to bring a three-day workshop on biomedical science intelligence and security offense and defense. This workshop will be held at the B Pavilion of Xuhui West Bund Art Center.

The scientific intelligence workshop integrated with biomedicine showcases the application of large language models (LLMs) in biomedical text mining, literature retrieval, and knowledge graph construction. It also reviews the development trajectory and interdisciplinary value of scientific intelligence. By integrating the mining of scientific research literature and electronic medical records and other text data, it strengthens the research on drug targets and builds models using open-source tools. It presents large-scale molecular simulations and virtual screening to accelerate drug discovery. The latest integration of the protein structure prediction software AlphaFold, through deep learning, infers the folding patterns and spatial configurations of protein amino acid sequences. A workshop will be organized on the theme of AI security attack and defense, combined with the practice of a hackathon.
