The 19th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao iot Conference
On March 21, it was jointly organized by Guangdong Internet of Things and Internet + Industry Alliance, GS1 Hong Kong and Macau E-commerce Association. Through policy interpretation, technical discussion and presentation of results, the conference charted the course for deepening cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Guangdong will rely on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen dual core, Guangzhou will focus on the “1234” action plan, Hong Kong will strengthen the collaboration between supercomputing and industry, university and research, Macao will promote the application of smart cities, jointly build an independent and controllable intelligent Internet of Things ecology, help the national strategy of science and technology power, and open a new chapter in the high-quality development of digital economy.
Wang Wenzhi, a researcher at the Information and Software Services Division of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out in his speech that at present, 42,000 5G base stations have been built in the province, and 110 million 5G users have been selected as 50 typical cases of Internet empowerment by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and more than 14,000 application cases have been accumulated. Formed 63 general large models and nearly 100 vertical field professional models. Guangdong Province issued a number of policies and measures to promote the innovation and development of artificial intelligence and robotics industry on March 10, giving supporting rewards to key projects in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics that meet the provincial supporting conditions in accordance with regulations. In addition, Guangdong leads the construction of intelligent sensors and open source Hongmeng ecology with Guangzhou-Shenzhen dual core, promotes the full coverage of Hongmeng applications in government services, medical education and other fields, and accelerates the construction of a trillion-level intelligent connected industrial ecology.
Hu Ye, Assistant digital Policy Specialist of the Digital Policy Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said in his speech that by 2024, the number of end users of China’s mobile Internet of Things has exceeded 2.5 billion, and the annual output value of China’s digital economy is expected to exceed 70 trillion yuan. Hong Kong is accelerating the layout of the integration of intelligent iot and artificial intelligence, launching a HK $3 billion artificial intelligence funding program to support industrial, academic and research institutions to use the computing power of the supercomputing center to carry out core research and development, and to build an artificial intelligence research and development institute to promote technology transformation. In addition, the SAR Government also announced that it has earmarked $1 billion for the establishment of the Hong Kong Intelligent Research and Development Institute to accelerate the upstream research and development of artificial intelligence, the transformation of middle and downstream results and the development of application markets.
Bi Zhijian, president of the Macau E-commerce Association, stressed that Macao will take artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things as the core engine for the diversified development of the economy, support the integration of industry and education through development funds, and promote the implementation of smart city applications such as intelligent traffic management and environmental monitoring. The AI transportation system has increased the road traffic efficiency by more than 30%, and will work with Guangdong and Hong Kong to build an intelligent iot ecosystem in the future, and promote the docking of data standards and talent circulation among the three places.
Fan Qun, president of Guangzhou Guigu Science Park, delivered a speech for the conference and introduced that Guigu Science Park has built an industrial cluster of 310,000 square meters, bringing together more than 360 innovative enterprises such as Feiteng chip and Kirin Software, positioning itself as a “resource link platform at home and abroad”, helping enterprises to transform technology and collaborative innovation through precise services. In the future, we will focus on the integration of international resources and create an open innovation environment for enterprises entering the park.
Zhu Yuzhong, Director of the Information Technology Development Department of Guangzhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a speech and interpreted the Action Plan of Guangzhou to Promote the High-quality Development of the Internet of Things Industry (2024-2028), and proposed to promote the construction of the benchmark city with the “1234” system. By 2028, it is planned to build more than two iot characteristic parks, cultivate more than 150 specialized and special new enterprises, and form 300 demonstration application cases. Focus on the layout of smart sensors, Internet of Things operating system technology base, relying on Huangpu smart sensor Industrial Park and Kaiyuan Hongmeng Ecological Innovation Center to strengthen the industrial chain; More than 500 million yuan was invested to support the research and development of AI large models, and accelerate the landing of intelligent connected cars, smart cities and other scenes. Through policy support, chain main traction and production and education integration and other safeguard measures, to build a trillion-level industrial cluster of “intelligent equipment + ultra-high-definition video + industrial Internet”, and create a new highland of the global Internet of Things industry.
In the 14th Guangdong-Hong Kong Internet of Things Competition (Internet of Things Track, Open Source Hongmeng University Track), Guangzhou Lingqin Technology, China Unicom Zhuhai and Foshan Branch, and Trands Frontier Technology (Shanghai) won the Best Internet of Things Application Award in Guangdong and Hong Kong; Locolla Limited, Guangdong Southern Modern Logistics Platform, China Unicom Guangdong Province Company won the Best iot Product award in Guangdong and Hong Kong; Beitu Technology and Guangdong University of Technology won the Best iot Innovation Award in Guangdong and Hong Kong. In terms of Guangdong awards, China Unicom Foshan, Shenzhen and Dongguan branch won the best application award, Changsha Huke Microelectronics and China Unicom Shenzhen and Zhaoqing Branch won the best product award, and Guangzhou Lusheng Intelligence Technology won the best Creative award. In the school circuit, South China University of Technology won the first prize, Guangdong Neusoft University won the second prize, Shenzhen Information Vocational Technology University, Guangdong Women’s Vocational College and Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational College won the third prize.
