At the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025, Qualisys is set to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing workflows for professionals in the entertainment industry. With a focus on user-centric solutions, Qualisys introduces advanced features designed to streamline motion capture processes and empower creative endeavors.

Enhancing Workflows with QTM Scripting Interface

Central to Qualisys’ showcase is the QTM Scripting Interface, a tool that provides direct access to a powerful API, enabling users to customize and automate various aspects of their motion capture projects. By utilizing Python or Lua scripts, users can extend the capabilities of the Qualisys Track Manager (QTM), automate data processing, and develop tailored tools to improve overall efficiency.

At GDC 2025, Qualisys will present two key demonstrations highlighting the practical applications of their time saving tools, one which leverages the QTM scripting interface to exemplify how live performances are efficiently captured using QTM and streamed onto Metahuman characters in Unreal within minutes. The other illustrates how studios can efficiently adapt complex character rigs using Qualisys-specific tools, eliminating workflow bottlenecks and accelerating production timelines.

Celebrating Motion Capture Creativity

In collaboration with Gray Area and Cie Gilles Jobin, Qualisys hosed “Hybrid Choreographies: A Creative Motion Capture Showcase” on March 19, 2025. This sold-out event transforms the Grand Theater at Gray Area into a motion capture performance lab, demonstrating the creative potential of real-time movement tracking in producing hybrid dance pieces
