Production Powerhouse Radar Pictures Expands Focus to Video Games
Partners with LevelN4XT for New Joint Entity
Radar-N4XT to Develop New IP for Games
and Adapt Existing IP for TV & Film
Los Angeles, CA–Radar Pictures, the TV and film production company behind the Jumanji franchise and Amazon’s Wheel of Time series, is expanding into the video game sphere with a new partnership. Radar will join with LevelN4XT to form Radar-N4XT, focused on developing new IP for video games and adapting existing game IP for television and film.
Radar-N4XT will make the first joint effort between film production and game studios that is creating transmedia exposure and building audience for game properties with its varied expertise in film/television, branding, fashion, music, and live entertainment. With a history of successes and a slate of dynamic original and established IP, Radar-N4XT will pioneer a new way to create, game, and entertain through the power of transmedia convergence.
Radar Pictures founder Ted Field said, “By partnering from the inception stage with video game creators we believe we can create a better fit among all verticals from the right kind of initial IP.“
Enthusiasm for the collaboration was echoed by LevelN4XT co-founder Marcus Ticotin, who said, “This group of leaders from virtually every aspect of IP creation is uniquely poised to partner with game companies and expand their IP across a broad range of verticals. The new team will be made up of Radar Pictures’ Ted Field, development executive Anthony Tringali, Head of Development Michael Napoliello and LevelN4XT, whose members include Marcus Ticotin (co-founder of Abandon Entertainment), Evany Chang (co-founder of OG Esports), Ciarra Pardo (former CCO of Fenty), Imad Izemrane (co-founder and President of Spring Place) and Keith Abell (former board member of The Shooting Gallery).
Ted Field’s 30 years in the film industry have led to worldwide box office grosses topping $8 billion. He has produced more than 60 films, including the Jumanji franchise, the Riddick franchise, Amityville Horror (2005), The Last Samurai (2003) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). He is an executive producer on “The Wheel of Time”, the new Amazon Prime Video fantasy series based on Robert Jordan’s novels.
LevelN4XT is a collective of successful entrepreneurs who have created and managed premier companies across a range of industries including game publishing, live events, entertainment, emerging technologies, consumer products and finance. The team has produced premier online games (Dark Age of Camelot, NBC Sports and NBC Olympics branded mobile games), championship e-sports franchise in DOTA 2 history (OG Esports), top films including Sling Blade (1996) and Max Payne (2008), and award winning TV series (“Glory Days”, “Holland’s Next Top Model”).
