This morning, the nominations for this year’s Academy Awards were announced at 5:30 by Tracee Ellis Ross and Kumail Nanjiani in 24 categroies. Here is the list of this year’s animation and vfx-related nominees:

Last year, Disney/Pixar’s Coco won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, Glen Keane’s Dear Basketball received the Best Animated Short trophy and Blade Runner 20149 took home the Oscar for Best VFX. Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water was the Best Picture Oscar honoree.
