NACON teams up with The University Network to offer $20,000 RIG Future Academy scholarship
Open for applications now, four students will receive $5,000 each
Nacon Gaming announced the RIG Future Academy scholarship on Sept 9, in partnership with The University Network, is open for student applications across the United States. Four students have the chance to receive $5,000 each, and five runners-up will each receive a GEAR UP college pack.

RIG Future Academy Scholarship
Jack Reynolds, President of NACON Gaming Inc., said NACON and its RIG brand of competitive gaming accessories are proud to support students and scholastics. “The RIG Future Academy scholarship embraces our core values. RIG empowers players to improve gaming performance and now supports their academic advancements as well. Gaming is sport and to win, you have to play, practice, and study hard,” said Reynolds.
Peter Corrigan, CEO of The University Network, said that the RIG scholarship aligns perfectly with the company’s mission statement. “The University Network was created to help students successfully navigate their college careers by providing help and advice. We help students find the scholarships that are right for them – which is why we’re thrilled to be teaming up with NACON to offer the RIG Future Academy Scholarship,” said Corrigan.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply, students will need to visit the RIG Future Academy scholarship page and answer the prompt: How has gaming helped you in academics? Applicants can respond in a short 300-word essay or in a two-minute video shared on social media, tag @RIGGaming and then use the #RIGFutureAcademy hashtag.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Scholarship Amount: Four (4) U.S. $5,000 scholarships to be awarded.
Eligible Recipients: High school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students in accredited U.S. colleges and universities who reside in the United States.
Scholarship Prompt: Students can apply in one of two ways:
Essay – Write an essay of 300 words or more describing how gaming has helped you in academics; or
Video – Create a 1-2 minute video on how gaming has helped you in academics, share it on social media (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) tag @RIGGaming and use the #RIGFutureAcademy hashtag.
Students can only apply once; multiple entries will be disqualified.
Scholarship Deadline: November 30, 2021.
