Grand Strategy RTS AI War 2 Releasing Out of Early Access Next Week
Arcen Games has announced that the sequel to its space strategy cult classic title AI War 2 is releasing out of Early Access next month. The title was in Early Access and now the 1.0 version is releasing on October 22, 2019, on Windows, Linux, and Mac. It is the official sequel to the 2009’s space strategy title AI War: Fleet Command which was critically acclaimed back then when the title was released.
AI War 2 is a grand strategy RTS hybrid in which place must face an overwhelming, inhuman enemy who has conquered the galaxy and now plans to eradicate you as well. However, the enemy is not expecting much from you which gives you a massive advantage of the doubt. While your enemy underestimates you and sits comfortably, you must steal as much technology as possible and then proceed to conquer territory to fortify your own base and launch your attacks.
However, capturing the territory back and reestablishing your own command over the territory is not as easy as it sounds because the enemy is present in massive numbers throughout the galaxy and can easily destroy your forces in a full head-on attack. Players will be required to use strategy and advance their own forces to gain the upper edge in battle and take out key targets first before making the final move.
AI War 2 is a result of a successful Kickstarter campaign which was held back in 2016 and has since been in Early Access on PC via Steam. The game is still available in Early Access for $19.99 on Steam and Humble Store and players who want to jump in the action right away before waiting for the 1.0 release next week, can do so right now.
