EA Officially Reveals Need for Speed Heat, Arriving November 8
The wait is over and EA has finally revealed the brand new Need For Speed game arriving this year called Need for Speed Heat. Surprisingly, the only leak we had about the game turned out to be true when the retailer listed Need for Speed Heat as the newest title in the franchise due to arrive later this year. EA is claiming that Need For Speed Heat is the ultimate street raver versus cop fantasy.
The latest title is NFS Heat and gives us the classic 80s vibes with the logo and the neon fonts. The game is pretty much set in the same classic Hot Pursuit formula however it looks like that EA has combined the ProStreet and Hot Pursuit together to form a new type of NFS game. The game is set in Palm City which is a brand new open-world where street racers have gathered to make their names known.
During day time, the racers take part in the Speedhunters Showdown which is a controlled and sanctioned competition where they earn Bank to customize and upgrade their garage of different types of high-performance cars. However, when the sun goes down, the players risk everything to build their Rep in underground races where a rogue police task force roams the streets. The police will stop at nothing to take down the player and swipe all their earnings.
Speaking at the reveal of Need For Speed Heat, the creative director at Ghost Games Riley Cooper said:
We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known. Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fueling everyone’s creativity with this new game.
Pre-orders are now live for all versions of Need For Speed Heat. Fans who pre-order the game will get a K.S. Edition styled Mitsubishi Evolution X. All pre-orders of the Deluxe Edition will get three additional K.S. Edition cars including BMW i8 Coupe, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, and Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport along with access to exclusive deluxe edition character clothing. Increased earning of both Bank and Rep are also included in the Deluxe Edition.
Fans who still own and play Need For Speed Payback can jump back in the game and pre-order Need For Speed Heat from the in-game tab to receive a 10% Loyalty Reward Discount. Subscribers of EA Access and Origin Access Basic will receive 10 hours of playtime as part of Play First Trial as well as early access to the full game on November 5, 2019.
