CHILDREN’S MEDIA CONFERENCE LAUNCHES INAUGURAL ANIMATION BUSINESS CONFERENCE 2020
One-day event to focus on Business of Animation comes as CMC make virtual content available on YouTube.
Following a successful virtual Children’s Media Conference (CMC) in July, CMC has announced the Animation Business Conference 2020 (ABC 2020) – its inaugural day-long Webinar on the Business of Animation: exploring the development and financing of UK and international animation projects.
Running on 12 November, ABC 2020 will aim to have a broad international perspective and fully virtual approach, offering invaluable insights for animation producers, distributors and freelancers who work in animation worldwide.
Delegates will hear from international commissioners, broadcasters and platforms to discover what they are looking for; learn how to navigate the new programme of global virtual events; get the lowdown on how to organise successful co-production deals and put together financing packages, and get updates from experts on the implications of Brexit.
The ticket for ABC 2020 by CMC provides access to all the webinars as well as opportunities to question speakers, with access to the recorded webinar content exclusively for an extra 30 days, plus additional VOD content to enhance learning at the event.
In an additional move to support the children’s media community, the content from this year’s virtual CMC is also now freely available to view on the conference’s YouTube channel with new workshops and webinars being released every two weeks in the run up to ABC 2020.
“Now, more than ever, people need information and expert insights to help them navigate these uncertain times. ABC by CMC will do just that – provide rapid access to international figures who are engaged in commissioning and financing, offer the experience of producers who are taking new approaches to achieve their projects and of experts who can explain the implications of the changes ahead – all curated and produced by industry insiders, which is CMC’s USP.
I’m equally thrilled that the amazing array of content from CMC 2020 Online will soon be available to everyone online too. Shared knowledge and experience are invaluable and we’re proud to be able to spread that worldwide to help the kids’ media industry survive and thrive despite the difficulties we are all facing.”
