Official Statements
Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said:
“Game scores capture the hearts and imaginations of millions around the world. This concert and the upcoming international tour are a wonderful way to extend the celebration of the BAFTA Games Awards and bring together fans, artists and industry figures. We are proud to recognise the exceptional talent of these composers and invite fans to join us for immersive evenings of game music starting this January.”
Austin Wintory, conductor and curator of BAFTA Games in Concert, added:
“Composing is often said to be a solitary craft, so it is an absolutely thrilling opportunity to bring together a large orchestra, a group of amazing composers, and the audience for whom it is all made. I am deeply honoured to have been asked to help curate and conduct this concert celebrating the immense spectrum of game music that has passed through BAFTA’s halls over the past two decades.”
