A Fresh Formation: Cozy Soccer Side-Scroller “Kick” Shifts to November Launch
Shoreline Games Lifts Lid on New Release Strategy at Convergence Showcase

Solo developer nospacelost and indie publisher Shoreline Games have today confirmed that cozy, side-scrolling, slice-of-life adventure Kick will launch on Steam in November 2026, with the new release window having been exclusively revealed during today’s Convergence Showcase.
Following a busy summer that saw Kick take to the pitch at IGN Live and put players through their paces with its first playable demo during Steam Next Fest, the team has decided to switch up the formation and give the game a clearer run at a goal this November.
The move will give Kick more room to build momentum in the months ahead, ensuring that when ‘The Kid’ finally laces up his boots, the game is ready to hit the back of the net in style.

“The response to Kick this summer has been brilliant, and we’re excited to spend the coming months introducing even more players to nospacelost’s wonderfully charming world before the final whistle blows and Kick launches later this year,” offered Keith Kawamura, CEO of Shoreline Games.
Coming to Steam, the debut title from solo developer nospacelost offers players the chance to race through scenic, Japanese-inspired landscapes, each with its own obstacles to avoid and soccer-ball challenges to master. From bustling streets and scenic beaches to shaded underpasses and sprawling parks, Kick’s story will see players practicing their skills in the park, running to catch the train, and taking well-trodden shortcuts to shave much-needed seconds off their travel time, all in hopes of beating the dreaded school bell.
“Kick has always been about those small, overlooked moments of childhood,” added nospacelost. “The response to the game and demo has meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly excited to keep building towards November and finally let players experience The Kid’s full journey.”
Key Features:
