UNTANGLE THE RIBBONS OF FATE! TURN-BASED VISUAL NOVEL ‘LOTUS: LOST MEMORIES’ COMING SOON TO STEAM
Experience a turn-based 2D-pixel action visual novel that follows the story of a blossoming samurai facing betrayal, loss, and legacy.
Fenyx Digital is proud to announce its debut game, Louts: Lost Memories, will soon be available on Steam, along with a free public demo. This side-scrolling, 2D-pixel art visual novel combines turn-based combat with a deeply emotional narrative, challenging players to confront themes of manipulation, memory, and choice.
Follow the Journey of a Troubled Young Samurai
Take on the role of young Atsushi, a resilient samurai caught in the midst of a raging war in Feudal Japan. Join him on a quest to retrieve the Raiketsu herb, a rare plant that holds the key to saving his ill father. This precious herb can only be obtained from Lord Hisashi, an emperor who is hosting a fight-to-the-death tournament featuring the most legendary samurai in history. What begins as a simple mission quickly evolves into a story-driven journey filled with unexpected challenges. Follow Atsushi as he navigates his personal grief and uncovers hidden alliances, revealing life-altering truths that will change everything he once believed.

Where Story Meets Turn-Based Strategy
In Lotus: Lost Memories, deliberate, slow-paced combat reflects the introspective tone of a visual novel. Players engage in strategic battles through a unique system that combines turn-based mechanics with real-time Quick Time Events for actions such as blocking, parrying, and interrupting attacks. There are ten distinct turn-based moves available, including overhead and underhand swings, piercing jabs, and more. The game does not rely on traditional RPG stats; instead, success is determined by the player’s timing, precision, and reflexes. For those looking for a greater challenge, Gauntlet mode offers a timed endurance trial on the leaderboard, pitting players against opponents in consecutive battles. Experience a variety of combat environments, ranging from serene landscapes to the roaring excitement of the battle arena.

A Narrative Journey Told in Three Acts
Lotus Lost Memories is structured in three acts, inviting players into a narrative-first experience that grows darker and more personal as it unfolds. The journey begins in Act One with a brief introduction to combat and world-building. In Act Two, the narrative gradually unfolds as Atsushi shares his internal struggles and memories with others. Finally, in Act Three, players face a series of brutal duels where long-buried truths come to light. You will soon discover that your opponents are not simply enemies, but fellow humans with war stories, motivations, histories, and fates of their own.
