The game “SIFU” is adapted into a live-action movie

The action-adventure game “SIFU” developed by Sloclap Studios will be made into a live-action movie, with “John Wick” screenwriter Derek Kolstad penning the adaptation.

“SIFU” is a game developed by French game developer Sloclap, which is available on PC (Epic Mall) and PS5. On November 9, 2022, the game went live on Nintendo Switch.

“SIFU” is an action-adventure game which uses a Chinese design theme, sets its background in Chinese cities, and uses Chinese kung fu, the Bak Mei style, as its basic fighting style.

“SIFU” has a high level of difficulty, smooth combat animations, excellent combat gameplay, complex combat mechanics, and strong enemies, giving players who like action games the ultimate gaming experience.

The story of the game tells the story of a young kung fu apprentice who sets out on a path of revenge to track down the murderer of his family.

Alone, he faces countless enemies with no allies. He must rely on his unique understanding of kung fu and a mysterious pendant to achieve victory and protect his family’s legacy.
This live-action movie will retain the game “SIFU”‘s kung fu revenge story and the game setting of the pendant resurrecting the protagonist at the cost of his lifespan whenever he dies.

The setting of using lifespan as the price of resurrection is reflected in the game as a progressing mechanic but, in the film this setting needs to be incorporated reasonably, otherwise the protagonist will die way too quickly.
