Global creators work together to：”Fight, Virus, Love” Works Show

The outbreak of “new coronavirus pneumonia” in the beginning of 2020 has touched the hearts of all Chinese.  2020 will be an extraordinary year in human history, and it will certainly leave a deep footprint on us.  Major events generally bring two kind of significant reactions: one is to push forward development of science and technology to find solutions to problems, and the other is to trigger human thinking about the ultimate destiny.

Human development has always been accompanied by struggle against disease. Today, what we encounter is not the first time, nor the last.  Illness often has psychological impact on people, which can lead to warnings and new thinking about life.

Although art can’t cure diseases, it can effectively affect people’s thoughts and emotions.  To understand images is something that people can do together even if they don’t understand words or languages.  The public can learn about the scientific prevention and control of infections by popularizing the “new coronavirus” through images.  The significance of art lies in the fact that artists use emotion and responsibility to directly express the concept of “popularization of new coronavirus, scientific prevention and control of infection and the unity of common people to overcome the outbreak” through images, which will be left as a historical witness and be spread.  It is a collective memory of the human race.  It contains memories of unity and difficulties overcoming, but it also preserves evidence of love, which is one of the most effective means of storing human civilization.

Visual art is the unique viewing angle of human beings, and vision is also the main way to obtain information.  Human history is human memory, and without these collective memories, it is hard to imagine what we would have become.  At this important point in history, art bears significant responsibility.  It enables us to record the history of human suffering in a warm and emotional way, to recognize it from history, and to rethink and reposition the reality and the future of mankind.

I believe around you and me, there are a lot of inspirational and positive energy spreading.  They may be our families, community workers, couriers, cleaners, cashiers… Their persistence, their dedication, for the operation of the city, the prevention and control of the epidemic moved and inspired us little by little.  Let us group these positive energies together, unite as one, and work together to overcome the epidemic.  Here’s to all the heroes fighting on the front lines!

We believe that we will overcome the difficulties, just like all those disaster in the history of mankind.  We will finally win!
